The Five Element Method
The Winter Medicine Cabinet

You're in.

A welcome note is landing in your inbox right now, and the first shelf comes in 2 days.

Don't see it? Check your promotions tab and drag it over. That's usually all it is.

For the next 3 months I'm opening my own medicine cabinet, one shelf at a time, and telling you exactly what's on it.

What's coming

Seven shelves, one season.

Each email tells you what's on my shelf, why it's there, what season your body is in while you're taking it, and how to take it so it actually works.

1

Lungs and immunity

Building the defense before you need it, and why starting when your throat already hurts is starting a month late.

2

Dryness

The cough that's still here after the cold is gone. Dry throat in the morning, tight skin, and the dryness in your 40s that nobody warned you about.

3

Sleep

There are 3 different ways of not sleeping, and they don't respond to the same thing. Including waking at 3am and not getting back down.

4

Digestion

For the holiday table, and why what you do before the meal matters more than what you reach for after it.

5

Stress

December specifically. The irritability, the heat in your face, the flutter in your chest, and why none of that is a character flaw.

6

Warmth

Cold hands, cold feet, a low back that aches when the weather turns. One pattern, not 5 separate problems.

7

January reset

Not a detox. I don't do those and I won't sell you one. What winter is actually for is storage.

Before we start

Two notes, and then we begin.

Note one

Everything is a tincture unless I say otherwise.

A tincture pulls out both the water-soluble and the alcohol-soluble parts of the plant, it keeps for years, and you can adjust the dose drop by drop. A capsule can't do any of that. A few things on these shelves are capsules or oils instead, and that's because of how those particular plants work.

Note two

Here's the basic dose.

1 dropperful, which is about 30 drops, in a splash of water. 2 or 3 times a day. That's the one to remember. Some herbs are taken differently, and when the dose changes, I'll tell you.

If you want more than a shelf

These shelves are built for the season, not for your body.

They're good, and they're general. If you want to know which of these are actually right for you, what to take them with, and what to skip because of something you're already taking, that's a conversation, not an email.

An herbal consult is $97, by video. We go through what you're dealing with and what you're already taking, and you leave with a written plan.
